HTC U12 will have a separate launch event sometime in March or April, as per reports.

This year’s Mobile World Congress is approaching fast. It’s clear at this point that the MWC 2018 will mark the launch of several much-anticipated devices including the Galaxy S9 and LG V30 Alpha. And as usual, HTC won’t launch its flagship phone at the incoming event. We’re talking about the HTC U12, the much-anticipated successor to the HTC U11 handset that launched in 2017.

HTC makes some great devices, but, they usually get overshadowed by Samsung Galaxy counterparts. And as per reports, HTC don’t want that to happen this time around, so they won’t be launching the U12 at the MWC 2018 event where Samsung will unveil their “next big thing” of 2018 — the Galaxy S9.

The report also suggests that HTC might kick off a separate launch event for the U12 sometime in March or April. The HTC U11 was launched back in May last year and features a 5.5-inch screen with a display resolution of 1440×2560 pixels. Other specs of the handset include octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor, 12MP rear camera, 16MP front-facing camera, and a 3000mAh battery. It’s available in two RAM variants, with 4GB RAM variant rocking 64GB internal storage and a 6GB RAM variant sporting 128GB storage.
