It’s been a while since we covered a Kickstarter project, so I thought to give it a shot. The last one was a creepy Big Clapper Robot that, well, claps to cheer up your day. Today on our Kickstarter column is a game dubbed Deadliest Catch and you’re going to love it if you’re into catching crabs. Of course, the plus side is that you don’t have to leave your house and yet still get to enjoy the experience thanks to very life-looking graphics and complex in-game tactics you’ll have to shell out for successful catches.

In the game, you’re playing the role of a fearless captain of a fishing vessel who is all set out for an Alaskan king crab catching journey to Dutch harbor by the deadly Bering Sea. You get to do various roles in the game from sailing and strategy planning to direct interaction with equipment and obviously crab catching.

The best part, however, is that it offers a first-person perspective so that you feel completely immersed in the experience of sailing across the vast Alaskan waters. The game is based on Discovery Channel’s TV series of the same name.

In case you haven’t heard already, the Deadliest Catch is now trending on Kickstarter as I write and if you want to grab a copy when it releases sometime in March 2020, you’ll have to pledge a minimum of CA $15 for ‘a special thanks in game credits’, wallpapers, Steam key to the demo and full versions, and access to Beta testers’ community.
