Sony Xperia XZ1 has just paid a visit to GeekBench, revealing some of its key specifications.
There’s a happy news for the Xperia fans awaiting the launch of Sony’s upcoming flagships. While the launch is expected to happen only a day before the debut of IFA 2017, we now have received a tip that confirms some of the key specifications of one of the upcoming Sony Xperia phones with the model number G8341 – presumably the Xperia XZ1.
The listing reveals that the Xperia XZ1 will come with Snapdragon 835 chipset and 4GB of RAM on board. Further, it also confirms the operating system on the XZ1 to be Android 7.1.1 Nougat. That’s all we know from the Geekbench listing.
However, previous leaks have mentioned that the Xperia XZ1 will feature a 5.2-inch FullHD display, and carry a price tag of $860. Here is a hoping that this handset won’t have to face the camera lens’ distortion issue like the XZ Premium.
If rumors are true, Sony will also launch a compact variant of the XZ1 handset. It will be called the XZ1 Compact, and might probably feature a 4.6-inch HD display like its previous X compact handset.
Besides, there is a yet another rumor suggesting that one of the upcoming flagships would come with a Sony’s in-house chipset out of the box. Now we don’t know if that’s true, but we would love to see the compact variant featuring Sony’s own chipset. Also, we’ve heard that both these phones will probably feature an all-screen front design with very narrow bezels on the top and bottom, unlike the current flagship Xperia XZ Premium.
